New ways of working

Supporting start-ups

The Centre for Entrepreneurship has been finding new ways to support students and graduates with their start-up businesses during the turbulence of COVID-19.

The team is producing a series of useful articles to help people steer their business through this period or keep their launch plans on track.

The articles give valuable advice on a wide range of key topics, including managing finances, building new skills, keeping in touch with customers and finding new opportunities.

The Centre for Entrepreneurship is providing remote support to students and graduates and also signposting people to further information and support in their industry.

Remote meetings

In this edition, we drop in on a remote meeting of the Disability Advice Team.

The team has been providing advice and support via telephone and email to students who have disclosed a disability, medical condition, specific learning difficulty or mental health condition. They are also supporting students with applications and assessments and providing advice to staff about reasonable adjustments to assessments and how disabled students can still access their external support remotely.

The team has been doing a great job supporting some of our most vulnerable students during this incredibly challenging time.

If you need to get in touch with the team please email disability@ljmu.ac.uk.
